Recorded with vintage Fender guitars and shabby amplifiers straight to 1/2" 8-track analog tape gives this one the warmth of a rustic cabin fireplace with a refrigerator stocked with Stroh's. And it's always drinkin' season with these guys. Worthy of note, the album has also taken a bit of an underground flight wowing both the rockers and the No Depression Crowd. The band features Col. T. Porter Harp's inspired song writing, the gutsy guitar of Dave Voss along with bassiest Tim Fekete and drummer Kevin White. Seattle-based Right Now Records dug the Champs demo out a pile in fall of 2000 and the band has caught the fancy of fans recently with shows at the Sunset Tavern, Elysian Brewery and the Huricane Cafe. I feel like I've been set free!
